Competition and settings
Contests increase engagement and offer attractive incentives. Here you can learn how to create them and customize them optimally.
🎲 Create a contest: Step-by-step instructions
1️⃣Competition overview
- Dashboard navigation: Go to Incentives and select Sweepstakes.
- In the contest overview, you will find all contests that have been created, as well as practical filter and editing options:
🔹 Show only active contests – Check this box to see only currently active contests in the list.
📅 Specify time period – Define a time period during which a contest was active at least once in order to filter specifically for past promotions.
🔍 Search – Quickly find a specific contest by searching for its name.
👁️ Show details – Click on the eye icon to edit the settings of a contest or view statistics.
📑 Copy contest – Next to the eye icon, you can duplicate an existing contest with a single click.
➕ Create new contest – Click this button to create a new contest and configure it directly.
2️⃣Create a new contest
- Click on "Create new contest."

3️⃣Basic settings
- Name: Give your contest a meaningful name.
- Transfer type: Determine how the winners should receive their prize:
- In the store
- promotional code
- shipping
- Internal name (optional): This name is for your use only.
- Category: For special categorizations, contact support@helloagain.at.
- Required points: Determine how many points are required to participate.
- Account selection (optional): If you have multiple helloagain accounts, you can select the account you want to use for the contest here.
- Validity period: Define when the contest is active.
- Visibility period: Determine the period during which the contest should be visible in the app.
- Description: Add a short, appealing description that will be displayed in the app.
- Activate: Check the "Active" box to make the contest visible in the app.
- Order (optional):By default, contests are sorted by points (how many points are required to participate in the contest). Here you can manually set the order of the contests (the lower the number, the higher up in the order).
- Visibility restriction: If you want to make the contest exclusively available to a specific customer group (e.g., over 30s, women, men, etc.), you can configure this setting here.

Inform customers about the contest 🎉
Once your contest has been created, you should draw your customers' attention to it and encourage them to participate.
It's best to use a one-time campaign for this—either by email or push notification, depending on your preference.

🏆 Determining the winners
- Contest overview: In the dashboard under Incentives -> Competitions you will find an overview of all contests that have been created.
You can also see:
✅ Active/Inactive – Shows whether the contest is currently available to your customers.
📅 Valid from – Indicates when the contest is open for participation.
⏳ Deadline – Shows when customers can participate in the contest.
👁️ Details – Allows you to edit and view all contest settings.
- List of participants: You can find the list of all participants in the dashboard under "Contest details."
- Draw winners: Click on "Draw winners" to randomly select a winner. Alternatively, you can export the list and manually select a winner.

Scroll down to the list of participants and select a winner (point 4).

- Notification: Notify the winners directly via the app, for example, with a push notification. Let's get started

- Define your target group: Tailor the contest to specific segments of your customer base.
- Attractive prices: Choose prices that are particularly interesting for your target group.
- Clear terms and conditions: Ensure that the terms and conditions of participation are understandable and transparent.
- Promotion: Advertise the contest through various channels to achieve a high participation rate.
